    Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

    The Sea Dragons swam fast across our two-day meet against Sunset Ridge. Sea Dragons swam fast against Apex with lots of records and a big win! A big thanks to all the volunteers who came out for the second day, it was much appreciated!

    This upcoming week Sea Dragons have TWO meets to finish out the season:

    1. On Tuesday, July 14th, Sea Dragons travel to Cary Swim Club! TONIGHT at 11:30 pm is the Meet Sign-up Deadline! Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending or not attending, indicate relay participation status, and preferred events (if any). Our meet theme is Sea Dragon Pride! Come dressed in your red and black team spirit wear! Complete Meet Info Below. If we win, we win our division, GO TEAM

    1. On Wednesday, July 15th the Mini Sea Dragons will have their season meet from 4:30-5:30 pm @ Cary Park Pool. Our meet theme is Disney (Princes and Princesses), so come dressed like your favorite Disney character or royalty!

    ***Please come out and cheer on the Mini Sea Dragons! Having as many fans to support them makes the event both fun and memorable for the youngest swimmers!***

    Game Day Practice for 11&Up swimmers will be moved to 6:30-7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 16th to accommodate the Mini Sea Dragon meet. Game Day Practice will be held at the regular scheduled time for 7&8’s and 6 and Unders.

    Do you not have enough volunteer points yet? There are jobs available for the meet this Tuesday, go sign-up. If you can’t do those and need ideas email [email protected]if interested.

    The final event of the season is our Team Awards Ceremony:

    Please RSVP for the Cary Park Sea Dragons End of Season Award Ceremony on Tuesday, July 21st 6:00-7:30 pm at the Cary Park Pool. We will celebrate another successful swim season together! Ice Cream. To RSVP, go the Signup Calendar and indicate which family members will be attending. Please RSVP by Friday, July 17th.

    ●At the team banquet, we will celebrate our swimmers and coaches. All families are invited to contribute to the coaches' gifts (thank you to everyone who already did at registration). A range of monetary donations can be made on the team website:Click Here. Please make donations by Friday, July 17th in order for gifts to be purchased.

    ●Don’t forget to submit your 2026 Sea Dragon Photos to be included in the Ceremony Slideshow. Upload Photos to this Google Folder.

    Reminder, please pick up ribbons from your family folder before the Team Award Ceremony. Folder space is needed for ceremony certificates and medals. Thanks!

    Parking:

    ○Parking is available on our premises as well as across the street at the church parking lot on Tanglewood Drive. The parking lot is reserved for the visiting team. Once the lot is filled, please use the yellow-striped parking spaces first in the church lot.

    Swimmer &Spectator Seating:

    ○The visiting team usually marks their spot on the side of the pool immediately to the right as you enter the deck area. Cary park is welcome to set up their chairs, canopies, etc. in this area. This includes the shelter and the grassy area near the back of the pool. Please DO NOT set up directly behind starting blocks as this is where swimmers will line up for Clerk of Course

    ○The baby/toddler pool, volleyball court, and tennis/ multi-sport area are closed during the meet. We will be "roping off" the volleyball court but since it is not fully fenced off nor is this a lighted area, for safety reasons we ask parents to please be sure to keep your swimmers and siblings off the sand court.

    ○Reminder, all swimmers entered in free relays must stay to the end of the meet.

    All volunteers scheduled for second shift or entire meet duration, are required to stay to the end of the meet.

    Parent Relay:

    ○Sea Dragon parents interested in swimming 25 yds (1 lap) in our parent relay, please bring your swimsuit/cap/goggles to the meet.

    ○Please meet behind the blocks during the older swimmer breaststroke events (parent relays swim after breast and before fly age group events).

    Concessions:

    ○The concession stand will be open. CSC will have pizza, hotdogs/hamburgers, barbecue sandwiches (sometimes), baked potatoes, pretzels, chips, candy, and Frozen Ice available for purchase. They ONLY accept cash. You may bring your own food and coolers. No glass is allowed on the pool deck.

    Meet Reminders: Please keep the deck and grass areas clean; please put trash in bins. Please do not walk in front or behind the tech team table (computer table by the starter); there are cords and tripping hazards and we don’t want anyone to get hurt.
