Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!
Sea Dragons swam fast against Scottish Hills Sea Lions and beat the heat in all sorts of creative ways!
Thanks to everyone as we were much better at cleaning up and listening to the volunteers. We had great energy at the meet and look forward to keeping that up!
A quick note to all our entrepreneurs, you are not allowed to sell merchandise in front of the swim club or at the swimming pool without prior permission.
This Tuesday, June 30th, Sea Dragons hit the road for an away meet against the Apex Breakers!! TONIGHT at 11:30 pm is the Meet Sign-up Deadline! Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending or not attending, indicate relay participation status, and preferred events (if any). Come wearing your Red, White and Blue! Complete Meet Info Below.
We NEED volunteers for the Apex meet! It’s a holiday week with many families away. If you need points please sign up — There are a few jobs left.

Calling all High School Senior Sea Dragons! Cary Park Sea Dragons Swim Team offers a Senior Scholarship for applicants dedicated to the team, either as swimmers, coaches, or both, and who have demonstrated a high level of service and commitment. Scholarships are to be used toward post-high school education expenses (college or vocational school).
To be eligible, an applicant must have:
- Swum for the Cary Park Sea Dragons for at least 3 years during his/her summer age group swimming career,
- Must have been involved with the team as either a swimmer or coach for at least 3 of his/her high school years, including Senior Year, AND
- During his/her Senior year must have attended at least 3 dual meets.
- Complete and submit the Scholarship Application by the Monday, July 13th deadline. Please CLICK HERE for scholarship information and application.
The Board of Directors will consider both seniors' applications as well as observed participation as a CPSD community member.
Please think about donating to the scholarship! To fully support our deserving seniors as they transition to post-high school education (college or vocational school), we have set a fundraising goal of $1,000. Mark your calendars! Cary City Invitational Swim Meet will be held on Saturday, July 11th at Scottish Hills Swim Club. All 50 TSA Southern Division teams are invited to participate. There are two sessions: 10 & Unders swim in the morning and 11 & Up swim in the afternoon. Full email was sent out separately (sign-up like for any other meet)!

● Swimmer Arm Markings:
- All swimmers’ arms Swimmers will sit on the pool deck by age group. Age Group tents will be labeled. Swimmers are encouraged to bring folding chairs to sit on.
- Please mark swimmers’ arms prior to event arrival.

- Swimmers arrive in swimsuits

- Do NOT bring valuables that may get lost
- Do NOT bring large electronic devices
- Parking:
- Park in the pool parking lots. Families are also free to park along the street or at the nearby Apex Baptist Church (across from the park on Holleman St.).
- Swimmer Seating:
- The far side of the pool from the entrance (by the diving well) up to the side lifeguard chair is reserved for the visiting team. This is the shaded side of our pool. Please bring chairs! We do not have extra chairs available for seating. You are also welcome to bring shade tents. Deck space is limited, but you are welcome to set up tents and chairs on the grass outside the pool as well (near the playgrounds).

- Concessions:
- The Apex Breakers Snack Bar will have pasta with (or without) meatballs, hot dogs, drinks, candy, and snacks available. Dinner menu with pricing attached. You are welcome to bring your own coolers and food as well. Please remember that no glassware or alcohol are permitted. The snack bar accepts cash, Venmo, and Zelle.

- Sea Dragon parents interested in swimming 25 yds (1 lap) in our parent relay, please bring your swimsuit/cap/goggles to the meet.
- Please meet behind the blocks during the older swimmer breaststroke events (parent relays swim after breast and before fly age group events).

FAMILY FOLDERS
- Family Folders in rubbermaid boxes will be placed out by the pool entry after dual meets during practice times.
- Please check your family folder to pick up Place Ribbons (1st-6th) for Heat 1 and Relay Events. The final distribution of unclaimed ribbons will be at the End of Season Awards Ceremony
