Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

Happy long weekend to those who were able to celebrate! There was some confusion over the exact date, but Sea Dragons registration is open!

The CPSD Board of Directors (BOD) is pleased to announce that after 3 years as an Assistant Coach, Arjun Kumar will be returning as Head Coach for the 2026 season. Arjun brings a wealth of swimming experience and is excited to lead the Sea Dragons team!

Do you want to get all your volunteer points? Do you like being at meets and making sure they run smoothly? The BOD is looking for a new TSA rep to join the squad. The CPSD Board of Directors (BOD) has important information about the upcoming 2026 season to share.

CARY PARK SWIM CLUB POOL REGISTRATION:

• All CPSD swimmers are required to have an active Cary Park Swim Club Family Membership.
• APPLY and PAY BEFORE Friday, April 15th.Rates significantly increase after that date.
• Cary Park residents can apply and pay online.
• Non-Cary Park residents can apply online BUT check payment must be mailed and received by Elite Management by the April 15th deadline.
• Note: New pricing Scheme (details found here) per member charges.
• All pool registration payments are non-refundable.

• Note, Cary Park Sea Dragons BOD will confirm that your pool membership has been paid before your swim team registration will be finalized.

CARY PARK SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION:

• CPSD Swim Team Registration will open on this Swimtopia website on Today, February 16th, 2026.
• Early Swim Team Swimmer Registration is from February 16th to May 15th 2026.
• Note: Pricing changes this year to unify all fees into one and reflect the makeup of the swim club
• Registrations submitted After May 15, 2026, a $10 late fee will be applied.
• Team Registration closes June 1st.
• Team registration includes:

1. Agreements: Family Volunteer Service Requirement; Code of Conduct
2. Waivers: Liability; Medical Release; Photo Release
3. Fee Payment

• Refunds:
  • By May 31st: Full Registration Refund
  • Suspension or Dismissal: No refunds
  • After May 31st: No refunds

OTHER ITEMS:

• Purchase Spirit Wear - We have a Swim Outlet store where you can purchase T-shirts and other swag, with 15% of proceeds going to the team. New Items Coming Soon! Sea Dragons Swim Outlet Store

• Junior Coach Volunteer Applications - Junior coach applications are being accepted. Submission deadline is April 15th.

• Pre-season swim lessons and clinics are offered by local swim teams and schools before the first CPSD practice and swim evaluations (Monday, May 11th). Year-round swim teams (MOR, RSA, TAC, etc.) offer swim lessons, as well as swim schools and fitness centers (YMCA, UNC Wellness, PhD Swim School, Triangle Swim School, Aqua-tots, Goldfish Swim School, etc.). Swim team evaluations are designed to assess the current skill level of each swimmer; they are not lessons. CLICK HERE for more information.

• In-season swim lessons will be offered by CPSD coaches ONLY to CPSD swim team members starting when the Cary Park Pool opens (Saturday, May 9th). Last year’s procedures will apply to team member lessons this summer. For non-swim team Cary Park Swim Club members (ex. siblings that are not on the team), lesson information will be forthcoming once finalized by the new pool management company.
