    Happy New Year Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families! It may be frigid this week, but we know that will change in a few short months!

    The CPSD Board of Directors (BOD) wanted to send a reminder about registration, coach / junior coach application deadlines and the general summer schedule as we recognize folks are planning camps and summer holidays.

    Do you want to get all your volunteer points? Do you like being at meets and making sure they run smoothly? The BOD is looking for a new TSA rep to join the squad. This person is our representative on the Tar Heel Swim Association. Reach out to the board for more information!

    Two quick notes: Registration is open for the pool and there is a change to the fee structure, most families should pay less under the new structure. Slight change to the volunteer requirements, families with only 15+ year old swimmers will have the same requirements as other families (we need the help).

    COACH APPLICATIONS:

    ● CPSD Swim Team is currently accepting applications for Assistant Coach, and Junior Volunteer Coach positions.

    Assistant Coach Applications:

    ●Application:

    1. Cover letter
    2. 2-3 references with contact info
    3. Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification documentation or planned completion date
    4. Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification (online course) documentation

    Junior Coach Applications:

    CARY PARK SWIM CLUB POOL REGISTRATION:

    • All CPSD swimmers are required to have an active Cary Park Swim Club Family Membership.
    • APPLY and PAY BEFORE Friday, April 15th. Rates significantly increase after that date.
    • Cary Park residents can apply and pay online.
    •  2026 Pool Registration Rates (Change from Prior Years):
      Example math Cary Park Residents (Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids): Before 4/15: $481 After 4/15: $552
      Example math Non-Cary Park Residents (Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids): Before 4/15: $715 After 4/15: $825
    • NEW PAYMENT STRUCTURE (Most families will pay less)
      • Example math Cary Park Residents (Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids): Before 4/15: $481 After 4/15: $715
      • Example math Non-Cary Park Residents (Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids): Before 4/15: $552 After 4/15: $825
    • Non-Cary Park residents can apply online BUT check payment must be mailed and received by Elite Management by the April 15th deadline.
    • All pool registration payments are non-refundable.

    • Note, Cary Park Sea Dragons BOD will confirm that your pool membership has been paid before your swim team registration will be finalized (at least one adult must be registered).

    CARY PARK SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION:

    • CPSD Swim Team Registration will open on this Swimtopia website on Thursday, February 20th.
    • Early Swim Team Swimmer Registration is from February 20th to May 15th 2025.
    • Registrations submitted After May 15, 2025, a $10 late fee will be applied.
    • Team Registration closes June 1st.
    • Team registration includes:
    • Refunds:
      • By May 31st: Full Registration Refund
      • After May 31st: No refunds
      • Suspension or Dismissal: No refunds

    PRE-SEASON SWIM CLINICS & LESSONS:
