Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

Happy Snow Day! The frigid weather has us dreaming of warm weather and summer swimming! Good thing Sea Dragons registration opens tomorrow!

The CPSD Board of Directors (BOD) is pleased to announce that after 3 years as an Assistant Coach, Pranav Nemani will be returning as Head Coach for the 2025 season. Pranav brings a wealth of swimming experience and is excited to lead the Sea Dragons team!

Do you value organization, communication and a well-executed plan? Then we need you! The BOD is looking for two parents to join and take charge of Communication and Volunteers. These are critical positions to have filled before the season starts! Both positions earn all 12 points for volunteer requirement. If you are interested please email [email protected].

• Cary Park Swim Club Pool Registration - April 15th is the discounted fee deadline. Payment must be received by April 15th. Rates increase significantly after that date.

• Cary Park Swim Team Registration - Mark your calendars: February 20th registration opens. Details are available here: Team Registration

• Purchase Spirit Wear - The team store has moved! We have opened a Swim Outlet store where you can purchase T-shirts and other swag, with 15% of proceeds going to the team. Sea Dragons Swim Outlet Store

• Junior Coach Volunteer Applications - Junior coach applications are being accepted. Submission deadline is April 15th.

• 2025 Sea Dragons Team Swimsuits - Swimsuit options, fitting, and ordering information are posted on the Swimtopia team website. CLICK HERE.

• Pre-season swim lessons and clinics are offered by local swim teams and schools before the first CPSD practice and swim evaluations (Monday, May 12th). Year-round swim teams (MOR, RSA, TAC, etc.) offer swim lessons, as well as swim schools and fitness centers (YMCA, UNC Wellness, PhD Swim School, Triangle Swim School, Aqua-tots, Goldfish Swim School, etc.). Swim team evaluations are designed to assess the current skill level of each swimmer; they are not lessons.

• In-season swim lessons will be offered by CPSD coaches ONLY to CPSD swim team members starting when the Cary Park Pool opens (Saturday, May 10th). Last year’s procedures will apply to team member lessons this summer. For non-swim team Cary Park Swim Club members (ex. siblings that are not on the team), lesson information will be forthcoming once finalized by the pool management company.
