    Happy New Year Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families! It may be frigid this week, but we know that will change in a few short months!

    The CPSD Board of Directors (BOD) wanted to send a quick reminder about open BOD positions, coach / junior coach application deadlines and the summer meet schedule as we recognize folks are planning camps and vacations.

    Please note that communication will continue going out to 2024 season members until after registration for 2025 is open and well underway.

    OPEN BOARD POSITIONS:

    • The CPSD swim team is managed and organized by talented parent volunteers!
    • The current BOD is excited to kick off the new swim season but needs your participation!

    ● For a successful 2025 season, VITAL open BOD positions still need to be filled.

    ● Critical positions that need to be filled immediately:

    o VP Communications

    • Maintain team website, develop and distribute team communications (monthly off season, weekly in season), take meeting minutes, facilitate team logistics as needed (ex. clubhouse reservations, team/pool record keeping)

    o VP Volunteers & Volunteer Associate

    • Plan, organize, and lead parent volunteers supporting social and meet related activities within the swim season. Partner with VP Meets on parent training and in-meet volunteer needs.

    ● Other positions available:

    o President Associate

    • 2025 will be my 3rd and final year as President. If you are interested in learning the role as a bridge to taking the reins in 2026, please let me know!

    COACH APPLICATIONS:

    ● CPSD Swim Team is currently accepting applications for Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Junior Volunteer Coach positions.

    Head Coach Applications:

    3. Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certification documentation or planned completion date
    4. Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification (online course) documentation

    Assistant Coach Applications:

    UPCOMING 2025 REGISTRATIONS:

    1. 2025 Cary Park Sea Dragons Swim Team: Registration will be opening February 20th,  available on the Swimtopia website. More details coming soon!

    2. 2025 Cary Park Swim Club: All CPSD swim team families must be registered members of the Cary Park Swim Club. A separate 2025 registration and fee are required. Information updates about registration and fees from Cary Park Swim Club will become available and updated on their website.
