    Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

    The Sea Dragons brought some fireworks to Tuesday’s meet as we got our first win of the season! Great swimming and great sportsmanship all around!

    This Tuesday, July 9th, Sea Dragons hit the road for an away meet against the Cary Swim Club (CSC) Imps! TONIGHT at 11:30 pm is the Meet Sign-up Deadline! Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending or not attending, indicate relay participation status, and preferred events (if any). Come wearing your Sea Dragon Red and Black! Complete Meet Info Below.

    Cary Park vs. Cary Swim Club Imps Away Meet - Evening of Tuesday, July 9th

    • Meet Registration Deadline: Saturday, July 6th @ 11:30 pm
    • What: The Cary Park Sea Dragons travel to take on the Cary Swim Club Imps
    • Who: Signed-up Age group Sea Dragons Swimmers (Mini Sea Dragons do not swim Dual Meets)
    • Theme: Sea Dragon Pride - Come dressed in your red and black team spirit wear!
    • Meet Schedule:
      • 4:45 pm - Set Up Volunteers and Volunteer Check-In Coordinator arrive
      • 5:15 pm - Swimmers and all other Volunteers arrive
      • 5:30-6:00 pm - Cary Park Sea Dragons Warm-Ups
      • 5:45 pm - Judges/Timers/Clerks/TSA Rep Meeting meet on the grassy hill area just outside the main entrance to the poo
      • 6:00 pm - Swim Meet Starts
      • Estimated meet end: Between ~10 pm -11 pm

    • Parking:
      • Parking is available on our premises as well as across the street at the church parking lot on Tanglewood Drive. The parking lot is reserved for the visiting team. Once the lot is filled, please use the yellow-striped parking spaces first in the church lot.
    • Swimmer & Spectator Seating:
      • The visiting team usually marks their spot on the side of the pool immediately to the right as you enter the deck area. Cary park is welcome to set up their chairs, canopies, etc. in this area. This includes the shelter and the grassy area near the back of the pool. Please DO NOT set up directly behind starting blocks as this is where swimmers will line up for Clerk of Course
      • The baby/toddler pool, volleyball court, and tennis/ multi-sport area are closed during the meet. We will be "roping off" the volleyball court but since it is not fully fenced off nor is this a lighted area, for safety reasons we ask parents to please be sure to keep your swimmers and siblings off the sand court.

      • Reminder, all swimmers entered in free relays must stay until the end of the meet.
      • All volunteers scheduled for the second shift or the entire meet duration must stay until the end of the meet.

    • Concessions:
      • The concession stand will be open. CSC will have pizza, hotdogs/hamburgers, barbecue sandwiches (sometimes), baked potatoes, pretzels, chips, candy, and Frozen Ice available for purchase. They ONLY accept cash. You may bring your own food and coolers. No glass is allowed on the pool deck. As per TSA regulations no alcohol may be brought in or consumed during a TSA event. Our facility is also a NO SMOKING facility, this includes the use of e-cigarettes, or vape devices

    SEA DRAGONS OF THE WEEK:

    • Each week, coaches highlight two swimmers from each age group for their work ethic, team spirit, personal improvement, and/or overall sportsmanship.
    • Sea Dragons of the Week can be found on the website Sea Dragon Spotlight tab.
    • Please keep lawn signs on your lawn to be picked up at the end of the week and displayed for a new SDOTW recipient.

      • Please help Coach Olivia to schedule for meets by RSVPing by this deadline.
      • Please RSVP attending/not attending, relay participation status, and preferred events (if any).

    FAMILY FOLDERS:

    • Family Folders in rubbermaid boxes will be placed out by the pool entry at periodically at practices.
    • Please check your family folder to pick up Place Ribbons (1st-6th) for Heat 1 and Relay Events. The final distribution of unclaimed ribbons will be at the End of Season Banquet.
