    Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

    Sea Dragons swam fast against Seven Oaks with lots of time improvements! Great first meet swimmers, volunteers, coaches, and parents!

    This Tuesday, June 18th, Sea Dragons hit the road for an away meet against the University Club Psychos! TONIGHT at 11:30 pm is the Meet Sign-up Deadline! Please RSVP if your swimmer will be attending or not attending, indicate relay participation status, and preferred events (if any). Come wearing your Sea Dragon Red and Black! Complete Meet Info Below.

    Last call to order Cary Park Team Medal engraved with swimmer’s name and distributed at the Awards Ceremony. The order deadline is TOMORROW, Sunday, June 16th; orders can be placed on the Team Store. To check if you ordered a medal at the time of online registration, Click Here.

    PRACTICE SCHEDULES CHANGE THIS MONDAY! Morning Practices begin Monday,

    June 17th. Afternoon practices have time changes for all age groups and Minis; 7 & Ups’

    afternoon practice is also extended to an hour. Please CLICK HERE to view the morning

    and afternoon practice schedule changes beginning next week.

    Families and swimmers have enjoyed the Pasta Pump-UP and Pie the Coaches Practice! Now it’s time for swimmers to PARTY! At their Age Group Parties, swimmers will enjoy pizza, treats, and fun. Please RSVP by Monday, June 26th if your swimmer will attend on the Signup Calendar here. The 10 and Under Party is Wednesday, June 26th 5:30 - 9 pm and the 11 and Up Party: Thursday, June 27th 8:30 - 11 pm.

    Family Folders in rubbermaid boxes will be placed out by the pool entry after dual meets during practice times. Please check your family folder to pick up Place Ribbons (1st-6th) for Heat 1 and Relay Events. The final distribution of unclaimed ribbons will be at the End of Season Awards Ceremony.

    Please note that all 10 and under swimmers who are in Heats 2+ (not Heat 1) receive either a Heat Winner (black) or Participation (green) ribbon immediately after their events. All Heat 1 and Relay swimmers receive their Place Ribbons (1st-6th) after the meet in the Family Folders.

    Cary Park vs. University Club Psychos Away Meet - Evening of Tuesday, June 18th

    • Meet Registration Deadline: Saturday, June 15th @ 11:30 pm
    • What: The Cary Park Sea Dragons travel to take on the University Club Psychos
    • Who: Signed-up Age group Sea Dragons Swimmers (Mini Sea Dragons do not swim Dual Meets)
    • Where: Away - NC State UClub Pool - 4200 Hillsborough St. Raleigh, NC 27606
    • Theme: Sea Dragon Pride - Come dressed in your red and black team spirit wear!
    • Meet Schedule:
      • 4:45 pm - Set Up Volunteers and Volunteer Check-In Coordinator arrive
      • 5:15 pm - Swimmers and all other Volunteers arrive
      • 5:30-6:00 pm - Cary Park Sea Dragons Warm-Ups
      • TBA - Judges/Timers/Clerks/TSA Rep Meeting meet at the picnic tables
      • 6:00 pm - Swim Meet Starts
      • Estimated meet end: Between ~10 pm -11 pm (Note, UClub is a large team, so expect this to be a longer meet)

    • Parking:
      • A parking attendant will direct you to parking. The closest lots are reserved for the visiting team (Cary Park).
    • Swimmer Seating:
      • Cary Park swimmers will sit to the right of the lap pool under the red canopies closest to the parking lot.
      • Please bring a chair! UClub does not have extra chairs available for seating.
    • Spectator Seating:
      • Deck space is limited, so spectators will set up tents and chairs on the grass outside of the fence. Please bring a chair!

      • Reminder, all swimmers entered in free relays must stay until the end of the meet.
      • All volunteers scheduled for the second shift or the entire meet duration must stay until the end of the meet.
    • Coach/Parent Relay: Coach/Parent Relays will NOT be offered at this meet.

    • Concessions:
      • University Club offers a Snack Bar at the pool that accepts credit cards. The snack bar has hot and cold meal options and snacks.
      • University Club also offers a Buffet inside the clubhouse. Shoes and shirts are required to access the buffet. The buffet accepts cash or credit cards. The buffet will include many kid-friendly options.
      • A Snack Shack is also available on the pool deck which accepts cash and has candy, snacks, and beverages.

    SEA DRAGONS OF THE WEEK:

    • Each week, coaches highlight two swimmers from each age group for their work ethic, team spirit, personal improvement, and/or overall sportsmanship.
    • Sea Dragons of the Week can be found on the website Sea Dragon Spotlight tab.
    • Please keep lawn signs on your lawn to be picked up at the end of the week and displayed for a new SDOTW recipient.

    2024 VOLUNTEER SIGN-UPS:

    • Volunteer Job Sign-ups remain open. Please only sign-up for 12 Volunteer Points.
    • There are many volunteer needs for our 3 Away Meets on June 18th, July 2nd, and July 9th. If your family is attending an Away meet, please consider switching your sign-up shift to help at these Away meets.
    • To view which jobs you have signed up for and how many points you have earned:
      • Log in with your password to the team website.
      • In the top right corner, hover over “Welcome Name” and select My Account from the drop-down.
      • Under My Account, you can view family members, contact info, and volunteer jobs signed up for, and points earned.

    HOW TO SIGN UP FOR SWIM MEETS IN SWIMTOPIA:

    • All Tuesday meet deadlines are set for the preceding Saturday at midnight.
    • Please help Coach Olivia to schedule for meets by RSVPing by this deadline.
    • Please RSVP attending/not attending, relay participation status, and preferred events (if any).
    • Pro-tip: All dual meet sign-ups are open. If you know your athletes will or will not attend meets this season, it is easier to indicate if they are attending/not attending now to avoid missing deadlines. Selections can be changed up until the deadline.
