Popcorn Fundraiser, Volunteer Clinics, Potluck Pasta Pump-Up
6/1/2024
Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!
Time trials may have started chilly, but our Sea Dragon Swimmers brought the heat! A job well done to our swimmers, coaches, and volunteers. The team has a full week of practice before our first home meet on the evening of Tuesday, June 11th. Meet sign-up deadline is Saturday, June 8th at 11:30 pm.
The CPSD Team POP-UP Popcorn Fundraiser is OPEN NOW. This is only a 4-day sale through Wednesday, June 5th @ 4 pm! This is our last fundraiser for the 2024 season! Help support our non-profit volunteer swim team! Funds raised will help keep team registration fees down for next year and support coaches' salaries. Plus your swimmer could win a Sea Dragon Rubber Duck and DJ a swim practice.
Simply set up your store account on the Double Good app and share your link with family and friends. The fundraiser is 100% contactless, which means orders are completed online and popcorn is shipped directly to the buyer (it is easy-peasy for you!). CPSD will keep 50% of the sales.
Double Good Popcorn is ultra-premium, delicious, and award-winning! Salty, sweet, or spicy - there is a flavor for everyone! Prices for Signature Bags (5 cups each) start at $11 and Curated Collections at $31. Click here to set up your pop-up store. All CPSD families are encouraged to participate. For questions, please email Ross Brodbeck at [email protected].
Next Saturday, June 8th from 8 am-12 pm, the TSA Mega Volunteer Clinic will be hosted at the Cary Park Clubhouse. Please join this free clinic to train to become a Clerk of Course, Stroke and Turn, or Starter. Learn more about this and other free TSA Clinics offered for the 2024 season: Click HERE.
Volunteer Shift Sign-ups are still open. There are many volunteer needs for our 3 Away Meets on June 18th, July 2nd, and July 9th. If your family will attend an Away Meet, please consider switching your sign-up shift to help at these Away Meets. For questions about volunteering, please email the VP of Volunteers (v[email protected]).
Would you like your Sea Dragon to get some one-on-one swim instruction? Our Sea Dragon Coaches not only develop swimming fundamentals for the youngest swimmers, but they can improve stroke, start, or turn technique for older swimmers too. Learn more about signing up for swim instruction: CLICK HERE.
The Sea Dragon Potluck Pasta Pump-Up on Monday, June 10th at the Cary Park Clubhouse is our fun, family carb-load social event before our first home meet! Come join the Sea Dragon Community for food and fun! Please RSVP if your family members will be attending (the green RSVP tab) and sign up to bring food (the green job sign-up tab) on the Swimtopia Signup Calendar: Click Here.
Please upload your Sea Dragon Meet and Social Photos to the below Google Folders. Our team volunteer photographer will create the Awards Ceremony slideshow, a beloved end-of-season tradition.
