    Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

    Happy Spring Sea Dragons! Time to spring forward and register for CPSD swim team! Swim Season is only a month and a half away!

    The CPSD BOD is excited to announce our 2023 Assistant Coaches, Sydney Asermely, Christopher Bondo, Katelyn Hillenbach, Arjun Kumar, and Parnav Nemani! These talented high schoolers are excited to return to the Sea Dragon team as leaders and mentors. Welcome to our Assistant Coaches!

    As a reminder, Junior Volunteer Coach applications are being accepted and the application deadline is April 15th.

    Last call to retrieve a record of your swimmer(s) past times (2011-2021). The old team website (Team Unify) will shut down on March 31st.

    NEW INFORMATION

    FAMILY ORIENTATION SESSIONS:

    • New and returning families interested in learning more about the swim team, please join BOD members for one of two Family Orientation Information Sessions.
    • The sessions will review practices, swim meets, and volunteer requirements as well as answer parent questions.
      • Session 1: Monday, May 15th 4:30-5:15 pm at the Cary Park Clubhouse
      • Session 2: Wednesday, May 17th 4:30-5:15 pm at the Cary Park Clubhouse

    TECH TEAM MEMBER NEEDED:

    • Thank you to parents that have stepped up to the call for the tech team!
    • The tech team is looking for one more new member. Tech team members manage the timing software and equipment during home meets.
    • Pre-season training and on-boarding will be provided.
    • Tech team members volunteer at home meets for the full meet duration. Volunteering for the tech team fulfills the 12 pt volunteer requirement.

    REMINDER/REPEAT INFORMATION

    CARY PARK SWIM CLUB POOL REGISTRATION:

    • All CPSD swimmers are required to have an active Cary Park Swim Club Family Membership.
    • For complete Cary Swim Club pool registration: CLICK HERE.

    CARY PARK SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION:

    • Early Swim Team Swimmer Registration runs until May 15th 2023.
    • Registrations submitted After May 15, 2023, a $10 late fee will be applied.
    • Team Registration closes June 1st.
    • Note, Cary Park Sea Dragons BOD will confirm that your pool membership has been paid before your swim team registration will be finalized.

    CPSD TEAM WEBSITE – SWIMTOPIA:

    • Swimtopia is the official team website. https://caryparkseadragons.swimtopia.com/
    • The old Team Unify website will no longer be accessible after 3/31/2023. All swimmers’ times from 2011-2021 will not be accessible after that date.
    • If you would like to retrieve a record of your swimmer(s) past times (2011-2021), please complete the following steps by 3/31/23:
      • Sign into the old Team Unify Website: Click HERE.
      • Under your account information, scroll over Events and Competition with flag icon on left, and then click on Meet Results.
      • In Meet Results, you can click on the Printer Friendly button for your information. You may switch between multiple swimmers on your account.
      • Note, Team Unify only has swim times from 2011 to 2021. Swim times from 2022 are on Swimtopia.

    CPSD TEAM STORE:

    • The CPSD Team Store is open and taking orders for spirit wear and merchandise.
    • Order team shirts, water bottles, hats, magnets, and more!
    • All orders must be placed by May 10th deadline to purchase for the 2023 season.
    • Ordered items will be distributed at the Team Time Trials on Saturday, June 3rd.

    PRE-SEASON SWIM CLINICS & LESSONS

    • There are several opportunities around the Triangle to learn competitive swimming skills and to get ready for the CPSD Summer Swim League season. CLICK HERE for more information.
    • Note, swim lessons through the CPSD team and CP Swim Club will not start until the summer swim season begins. Stay tuned for more information.
