    Greetings Cary Park Sea Dragon (CPSD) Families!

    As we roll into March, the team registrations are rolling in too! Reminder, Cary Park Sea Dragons Team Registration is open!

    The CPSD BOD is excited to announce our 2023 Head Coach, Olivia Honaker! Olivia is a prior CPSD assistant coach and Sea Dragon Swimmer. She brings swimming experience, team spirit, and dedication to the team. Welcome Head Coach Olivia!

    Save money by completing the Early Bird Cary Park Swim Club registration by March 15th. Important reminder for non-Cary Park Residents, you must register online AND mail a check to Elite Management. Elite Management must receive payment by March 15th - please mail payment ASAP to make the deadline.

    NEW INFORMATION

    CPSD TEAM STORE:

    • The CPSD Team Store is open and taking orders for spirit wear and merchandise.
    • Order team shirts, water bottles, hats, magnets, and more!
    • All orders must be placed by May 10th deadline to purchase for the 2023 season.
    • Ordered items will be distributed at the Team Time Trials on Saturday, June 3rd.

    TECH TEAM MEMBER NEEDED:

    • The tech team is looking for a new member. Tech team members manage the timing software during home meets.
    • Pre-season training is required.
    • Tech team members volunteer at all three home meets for the full meet duration (including setup and breakdown). Completing 3 homes meets on the tech team fulfills the 12 pt volunteer requirement.

    REMINDER/REPEAT INFORMATION

    CARY PARK SWIM CLUB POOL REGISTRATION:

    • All CPSD swimmers are required to have an active Cary Park Swim Club Family Membership.
    • APPLY and PAY BEFORE Wednesday, March 15th. Rates significantly increase after that date.
    • Cary Park residents can apply and pay online.
    • Non-Cary Park residents can apply online BUT check payment must be mailed and received by Elite Management by the March 15th deadline.
      • 2023 Pool Registration Rates:
        • Cary Park Residents:            Before 3/15: $465     After 3/15: $550
        • Non-Cary Park Residents:    Before 3/15: $640     After 3/15: $750
    • All pool registration payments are non-refundable.

    • Note, Cary Park Sea Dragons BOD will confirm that your pool membership has been paid before your swim team registration will be finalized.

    CARY PARK SWIM TEAM REGISTRATION:

    • Early Swim Team Swimmer Registration is from February 20th to May 14th 2023.
    • Registrations submitted After May 15, 2023, a $10 late fee will be applied.
    • Team Registration closes June 1st.
    • Team registration includes:
    • Refunds:
      • By May 31st: Full Registration Refund
      • After May 31st: No refunds
      • Suspension or Dismissal: No refunds

    JUNIOR COACH APPLICATIONS:

    • Applications for Junior Coach Assistant volunteer positions are being accepted.

    SEA DRAGONS TEAM SWIMSUITS:

    • Swimmers have three options for swimsuits at team meets:
      • Purchase the 2023 team suit from All American Swim. For fitting and purchase information: CLICK HERE.
      • Reuse a CPSD team suit from a previous year.
      • Wear a red or black swimsuit. No other team logos on suits are permitted per TSA rules.

    2023 MEET SCHEDULE:

    PRE-SEASON SWIM CLINICS & LESSONS:

    • There are several opportunities around the Triangle to learn competitive swimming skills and to get ready for the CPSD Summer Swim League season. CLICK HERE for more information. 
    • Note, swim lessons through the CPSD team and CP Swim Club will not start until the summer swim season begins. Stay tuned for more information.

    • The old Team Unify website will no longer be accessible after 3/31/2023. All swimmers’ times from 2011-2021 will not be accessible after that date.
    • If you would like to retrieve a record of your swimmer(s) past times (2011-2021), please complete the following steps by 3/31/23:
      • Sign into the old Team Unify Website: Click HERE.
      • Under your account information, scroll over Events and Competition with flag icon on left, and then click on Meet Results.
      • In Meet Results, you can click on the Printer Friendly button for your information. You may switch between multiple swimmers on your account.
      • Note, Team Unify only has swim times from 2011 to 2021. Swim times from 2022 are on Swimtopia.
